THE FEDERALIST only accepts payment in U.S. Dollars, and we are unable to quote in any other currency due to changing exchange rates.
Payments for orders may be charged to a credit card or paid by check, made payable to THE FEDERALIST. Orders are to be paid in full, at the time of ordering.
Our craftsmen will begin handcrafting your Federalist lighting, mirror, or furniture order as soon as payment is received.
Terms and Conditions:
Estimated Delivery date starts from the time we receive payment, not the quote or invoice date. Therefore, we encourage payment to be remitted timely so the craftsmen can begin your order as soon as possible. Lead-times can vary and are dependent on the particular special order product, receipt of payment, and if applicable, the customer supplying all other necessary information required for the order. Any lead time or delivery date specified by the Supplier is provided as a guide only. All delivery times quoted for such Special Orders are approximate and can vary from the time quoted. For interior lighting fixtures, UL listing will be provided, at the customer request, and an additional charge may apply.
For all items in our collection, it is highly recommended that at time of ordering or prior, that the client ask to see an actual physical finish sample. Colors/ Finishes are a representation only, and can vary from monitor to monitor or the lighting environment of the photo. As such, it's advisable a client request a physical color sample to ensure the finish color they have selected.
Due to the handmade quality of all The Federalist products, as well as any customizations requested, slight variations in size, style, materials, colors, finishes, and hardware may occur, and are considered acceptable. For exterior fixtures, slight visibility of soldering is acceptable and over time, as the fixture weathers naturally, the soldering will blend in. Furthermore, client agrees and acknowledges these terms and conditions by submission of payment for an order.
When available, the light fixture will be provided with the candle-sleeves shown on the fixture, on our website. In cases where supply may be limited, we will provide an alternative candle-sleeve. We do not sell candle-sleeves separately. Therefore, should a client want to change the color/style of the candle-sleeve or purchase additional candle-sleeves at a later time, we can refer you to suppliers that sell candle-sleeves, so that you can make a direct purchase.
Wood finishes have some allowed variance in color due to the handmade nature as well as the inherent qualities of the natural material.
All merchandise is carefully inspected by The Federalist, prior to release to outside carriers to confirm it is in perfect condition. All merchandise must be examined by the customer/ receiver, within 3-business days. If the client decides to not have the shipment inspected within 3-business days of receiving and thereby reporting any damage, it should be noted that The Federalist takes no responsibility for how the shipment is thereafter stored by the client; handled at job or project sites; or how a receiving warehouse stores & handles said client's merchandise.
The Federalist reserves the right to charge a storage fee of $100 per item and per month, for completed orders that the customer does not accept delivery within 30- days of notification that the order is ready for delivery.
Please understand, due to bespoke nature of THE FEDERALIST, that all orders placed, other than items specifically specified as sample sale/ display items sold, are considered to be Special Orders, and that these Special Orders may not be cancelled, returned, or exchanged for any reason. Additionally, all purchases of sample sale/display merchandise, are non-refundable unless returned within ten (10) days from the date merchandise is delivered, and in perfect condition. Customers making valid returns of sample sale/display merchandise will be entitled to a store merchandise credit only.
